Our story
How it started — Annie & Isaiah
When our daughter Annie married Isaiah, I wanted to give them more than one generous gift they'd open once and set aside. So I spread it across their whole first year — 52 envelopes, one a week, each with a personal note and a little something inside: some cash, a gift card, a Venmo.
It gave us a reason to connect every week, and a way to pass along the one thing I most hoped they'd carry into marriage: keep dating each other. Back during their engagement, we visited their new hometown and I picked up gift cards to a few restaurants near their place — then tucked them into the envelopes across the year as little nudges to go out, just the two of them.
Hearing that they actually did was the best part. Fifty-two weeks later, it had done everything I'd hoped — memorable, personal, a steady thread through their first year together. It was also a lot of work for one dad.
That's why we built Year of Memories: the same result — a year of personal, memorable, keep-dating moments — powered by everyone who loves the couple, not just one determined parent.

What is Year of Memories?
Year of Memories is a free way for friends and family to fill someone's big year — like a couple's first year of marriage — with weekly memories. Each person claims a week and sends a time-released note, photo, gift, or call. The memories appear on a private wall all year and become a keepsake book at the end.
How much does it cost?
It's free for the person being celebrated, and free for every guest who claims a week and sends a memory. The host — the person who sets up the celebration — pays once, based on how many guests and weeks they need. Plans start at $95, and there's a free tier for smaller celebrations. The keepsake book at year's end is a separate one-time purchase ($49 digital).
I was invited but I don't have a link — how do I join?
You don't need the original link. Go to "My celebrations" and look yourself up with the same email or phone number you were invited with, and you'll find the celebration and any weeks still open to claim.
What occasions does it work for?
Weddings first — celebrating the first year of marriage week by week. It also fits new parents, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, and long stretches apart like military service or school abroad.
Is it private?
Yes. Each celebration's wall is private to the people who were invited. Memories are time-released, so they arrive steadily across the year rather than all at once.
